Remarks
Two of these van der Stadt 222’s were built, one was built in South Africa, and this one that was built in Germany at Bremen. Construction is 3 layers of cold moulded solid Mahogany on Teak I-beam and stringers, and Teak cockpit construction. They were built to compete in the first Trans Atlantic Cape to Rio Race. The current owner bought her 10 years ago and has restored her to current condition. Full details are available.
