39 Dufour – MON39-0537
Dufour Yachts was established in 1964, and until the late 1980’s built a series of solid fast cruising yachts, of which this Dufour 39 is one of the larger models. Designed by German Fryers, who also designed for Nautor Swan and Halberg Rassy, she has elegant lines and a fast hull with a good ballast ratio of over 46% (most current Dufours tend to have ballast ratios under 35%). The boats have a very good reputation for handling and performance – in fact they are often compared to Swans in this respect, if not in the build or fitout quality. About 120 Dufour 39’s were built.
